These cards were made in 1926 by Ferd. Piatnik & Söhne in Vienna. They are

Such cards are used for the game Quitli (or Kvitlech, Quitlok, or similar) which was developed by Hasidic Jews in Galicia around 1800. There are two sets of twelve cards each, which only show numbers, from '1' to '12'. As the '2' and the '11' have a special meaning in the game, they are marked additionally. Because of religious reasons cards with pictures were not allowed.

Surprisingly, such cards were subject to playing-card tax in Austro-Hungaria. That is the reason why one of the '1' cards shows a tax stamp. I am showing only one set with twelve cards here, the other is identical except for the tax stamp. At the bottom I show the wrapper with a closure ('Verschlussmarke') with the dating '1926'.
