This pack was printed around 1870 by Daveluy in Bruges. The maker's name is on the belt of the Jack of Hearts.
The cards were registered in 1868: 'Cartes brevetées' on the Ace of Clubs and 'Déposé ' on the Ace of Spades (both not shown here). Note that the colours red and blue are interchanged on the both halves of each card. The cards show figures in a historicising style with a landscape background.
There is a later edition without the name of the maker (see the Hearts cards in the bottom row) and a still later edition with the maker's name Geûens Seaux Bruges on the Jack of Diamonds.
