The design is by Julius Diez (1870 - 1957). His initials JD are on the Ten of Acorns, and again as ID on the Nine of Hearts, together with the year of the design, 1897.
The Münchner Jugend was a famous magazine that gave its name for the German version of art nouveau, Jugendstil.
