These are poster stamps that were used by Vereinigte Stralsunder Spielkarten-Fabriken in Stralsund in the first third of the last century. The text is 'Stralsunder Spielkarten sind berühmt in allen Ländern' ('Playing-cards from Stralsund are well-known in all countries').

The figures shown on the stamps have also been used on court cards. An example is the The tax stamp shows that this pack has been produced around 1925.
