This pack was made c. 1840 in Germany, the maker is not known. His name had originally been on the Six of Leaves, but it has been removed.

Similar packs are known to have been made by different German makers. In my collection there is another pack most probably made in Bavaria, with many similar court and pip cards.

I regret that the pack is missing three cards. I have put a back in their places. When I got the cards two of the missing ones were present, but they obviously are from a different pack as the back and the designs indicate. I show those in the bottom row.
