These cards were made by Gottfried Ludwig Timmermann in Lübeck at the end of the 18th century. His name is on the Jack of Spades, and additionally his initials 'GLT' are on the Jack of Hearts.

It is a Tarock pack that is typical for this time, with animals on the trump cards. Among them is a mythical creature, the unicorn on Trump-VIII.

Regretfully the cards are heavily used and incomplete: the King of Spades, Trump-XV, and the Skys are missing (the back is shown in the place of the latter). Additionally, someone has added index signs to the court cards. Obviously, some of the cards have been used for a game different from Tarock.
