home - cards from Hannover - taxes - collection - societies - my publications |
This pack was printed around 1870 by Lauensteins Erben in Goslar. The maker's name was originally on the Jack of Hearts but it has been blackened.
On first sight, these cards look like those of another pack made by Lauensteins Erben from my collection. On closer inspection, you can see a lot of differences.
The strange thing is that there is no tax stamp, neither on the Ace of Spades (Kingdom of Hannover, until 1866) nor on the Ace of Hearts (Kingdom of Prussia, from 1866).
