This pack was produced in 1949 by Faustino Solesio in Genova. His name is on the first card shown, no. XV, the ChuChu card with the bird, a cuckoo.

The pack was used for the Italian game ChuChu (more often called Cuccù). This is a game similar to the German Hexenspiel (or Vogelspiel); other related games are the Norwegian Gnav and the Swedish Kille, and there are some other names for the games.

The cards shown are only half of the cards needed for the game, there is a second set belonging to this pack that has the same cards but without the tax and date stamp on the ChuChu card.
