Playing-card Tax Stamps in Israel (and Palestine)

In Israel, adhesive bands were used to seal the package.

These are three parts of a band that was in use most probably c.1945 in Palestine for imported cards.
(from a scan by Zvi Beghtz)

This band was in use c.1951 to c.1958 for imported cards. The text on one side states that the cards are foreign products, that on the other side that the tax for the cards was paid. The text in the centre is 'Israel'. These texts are repeated in Arabic.

This is another band that was used for imported cards, at about the same time. The text seems to be the same as on the band above, but there is an additional blue ink stamp on the band.
