In Iran, adhesive bands were used to seal the package.

This band was in use most probably c.1935 in Iran. The text on the band is "25 Dinhar" on both sides of the circle, and "charge" in small letters at both ends. There are also two stamps with the text "annulled". (scanned by Walter Haas)
