Multiple Stamps in Argentina

Sometimes, there is more than one tax stamp on Argentinian cards.

On all the examples with multiple tax stamps I have seen, there also is a blue stamp 'NAIPES LAVADOS' on the stamped card, and the additional stamps are in some shade of red.

This means that the cards had been 'washed' to clean them after some use (which was a common practise e.g. in Germany until the first half of the last century), and afterwards had to be tax stamped with the red stamp again. This is supported by the fact that the two multiple-stamp packs in my collection are smaller in size than the 'regular' cards of that brand, almost two millimeters in width and height. The cards were re-cut after washing.
